"Quick and Easy Ways to Include Fruits and Vegetables in your Diet” is the topic of an upcoming workshop offered at Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, located in South Brunswick at 42 Riva Avenue. This workshop will demonstrate ways to get the most out of your meals by adding in extra servings of fruit and vegetables. Fruit and vegetables help to create a more flavorful and filling meal, and contribute greatly to overall health and well-being. The Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health recently published research that found people who eat seven or more portions of vegetables and fruit a day have a 42 percent lower risk of dying from any cause, compared to those who eat less than one portion. They also enjoy a 31 percent lower risk of heart disease and a 25 percent lower risk of cancer.
